I had a lovely meeting on Tuesday, at the Lyric theatre in Hammersmith. On my way out I saw this wall which was in the process of being cleaned. I wonder what it said.

I live in Tower Hamlets. It gets a bad press, and it has its problems (I won't go into my current secondary school allocation problems here) but I like it. I just saw a van in my street from Tower Hamlets Homes, I've seen literature too, and each time I've been amazed at the high quality of the visual identity. The work's created by Wire Design who've done an excellent job of designing a public service identity that's actually inspiring. It looks really dynamic, and the whole meeting-point element of the system communicates beautifully simply. Nice one guys.

This is a display in the local community arts cafe where I often write. I hope these books weren't written there. Haven't seen Clarkson.

Actually, I'm proud that my wife says I dance like this. The last time I felt that warm feeling of recognition I was at a Hot Chip gig, smiling inanely as I watched Alexis Taylor bounce around on stage. My heroes.

I'm born and bred in the East End, not Whitechapel, further out, but I live walking distance from it now and I loved seeing these mesmerising images last Sunday. The show was commissioned in 1972 to document the social shifts in the area.

I want to own prints, any of them.
